power steering ?
Howdy, I've got a 1981 with a replacement 1969 350 for power. It was a truck engine and not put in very well. One of my main problems is that after rebuilding the power steering control valve, I've had a problem with the steering. Now the car isn't on the road yet, parking lot and driveway runs only. But, what's happening is that when turning the wheel left it feels like any power steering easy to turn. When turning the wheel to the right it's like there is no power steering, hand over hand and a struggle. Also the power steering pump is slightly off center from the belt. Would this contribute to this ? Should I try a new power steering control valve ? Any help would be appreciated. Chuck
