Map light not working
On my 79 there is a small light above the gauges I guess its a map light.It didnt work the bulb was burnt.After replacing the bulb it still doesnt work.There is no voltage at the connector behind the glove compartment.I cant find it on my wiring diagram.Does anyone know where the power feeds from? Do you turn the headlight switch to turn on map light on? Thanks.

It is not a map light; it is for illumination of the HVAC controls on the console; they are not lit from underneath. It requires a special bulb which should be listed in your owner's manual.
