Like I said in other posts this is my first corvette. My question is the car came originally with A/C. But for some reason was taken out. Do you need the A/C unit to run heater and defroster? I see no heater hose so I assuming the A/C is needed to run everything. I don't care about A/C but defroster and heat would be good. Thanks for your help

Not needed for a '76 so I doubt it's req'd for a '75 to run htr/def. I removed my condensor, compressor and the associated tubing/hoses back to the VIR. Htr/def works normal. Are the hoses still connected running from the top of your intake manifold and the water pump back to the heater core?

The inlet/outlet tubes for the heater core are tucked well under the firewall and may not be seen looking down into the engine bay. You may have to feel for them or look from underneath.
Thanks, so if there is a connection the water pump hose connects to which heater core tube? And the intake connection is at the inlet or where ? the motor is a crate vortec 350 96-00 Gen1.
If I remember right, the hose sizes are not the same. The water pump hose goes to the bottom heater coil connectiong and the top heater coil connection goes to the front passenger side of the intake. There should be a hose nipple up by the thermastat housing.
Roger: the 75 assembly instruction manual (AIM) could be a help for you. The AIM shows the correct routing for the heater hoses. You're going to want the AIM for more than just heater hoses.
