Default Short course in headlites please

1981...headlite doors always up...just learning basics, lots of vacuum lines loose. Vacuum from intake thru switch and lever inside, black and white hoses go forward. One to canister, one to relays. Then two lines to each actuator. OK...so what opens and closes the doors? Relays? Thanks.
Going to smog Sat A.M. Pray for me.....
