If your car is a L-82 then it should be a short water pump. My 77 L-82 had the short water pump.
Also, depending on the type of aluminum pulleys you are looking for the following company seems to make them specifically for our cars, as long as you are still going with V-belt pulleys and not serpentine. Good prices, and made in the USA.
All C3 Corvettes use a short water pump, BUT, somewhere around '69 to '71 the short pump got ~3/16" longer. Still a short pump, but you have to pay attention to your year model.
