Btdc tdc
Ok just to clarify my timing marks on my 74 looking from the front of the car lets say my tdc mark is on the 12 o'clock position Going clockwise it's after tdc and looking left counterclockwise it's btdc correct ?

The engine spins clockwise when looking at the front.
When looking at the timing mark with a timing light, if the mark is at 12:00 (your example) at TDC, the mark will be at 11:00 Before TDC (advanced) or 1:00 After TDC (retarded)
