77 air conditioner compressor

how do you take the clutch apart on a 77 air conditioner compressor? is there a bearing on vbelt pulley inside clutch? the compressor turns freely but vbelt pulley is rough

if its the same as a 75, there is a bearing inside...

There is a tool that you can rent from the local parts store. I tried mine and just ended up buying a replacement.

Yes, ordered it from Oreillys Auto parts. Make sure you get the pancake style. If I remember it was around 80.00, I could be wrong on the price.

It's a good idea to invest in a GM shop manual if you plan on doing your own repair work.
