Default MotorHead's Tires are SWEEEET

Motorhead,
Those BFG 295's look TUFF on your car. I think I'm going to get me a set. So, you have 295 50's on the rear, and 265, 50's on the front? That tire combo has just the right stance to it. :yesnod: Let me burn up my 255's, and I'll get a set of those.

And I don't! Too big, makes the rear end stick up too high. Maybe if I saw it from the front corner I might change my mind.

In my experience, you generally only get to see Wayne's car from behind!

The 295s at the back are way cool. They do, however, look like they're ready to friggin burst off the rims. I advise women and small children not to stand too close ....

usually you would be right with wider tires making the rear looked jacked up, but with a 50 sereis tires, they are actually shorter than 255/60, even with 295/50's......27.0 vs. 26.6

WTF is this guy talking about:confused:

I have the exact same combo and the car is actually lower than before.
The O.D. of the stock 255/60-15 is 27.1" and for the 265/50-15 is 25.5" and 26.7 for the 295/50-15.

If you go wider, it does make a car look jacked up. BUT, If you go wider AND shorter, like MotorHead did, it looks great. 295/60/15's will look alot taller than 255/60/15's, you adjust that "jacked up" look by making the sidewall shorter (50) to even it out.

Actually, I think the 295'-50's would look better. Because the aspect ratio of the 295-50, would be around the same actual height of the 255-60. :yesnod: 295'60 would probably be taller than 255-60

You have to do something with the e brake bracket either move it or grind it down, as all years are slightly different it's a good idea to test fit first as I have very little room in some places
