Big Puddle under car!
I worked until 12 o'clock and couldn't wait to drive my '77. Supposed to be a gorgeous weekend weather wise! I get to the car and there is a big puddle under it! I figure water is better then oil and it looks like its coming from the pump! So off to Autozone and $33 and 80 minutes later I have a lifetime guaranteed new pump. I am slow but thorough and I did have to wait for 3 coats of GM Blue paint to dry. So after all the work A 50 mile test drive is necessary, right ? I then headed for our local cruise nite which is about 30 minutes away and all's well that ends well!

Well you could have at least posted some pics......that is one of the first things I did when I bought the 82. I ended up at Pepboys for the same price for a new pump. Well worth the price for piece of mind.

The brand new paint on the pump makes the rest of the engine compartment look kind of tired, but I'll think about a picture!
