My vette has a 96-00 vortec 350 5.7L and requires a electric fuel pump, presently it is installed just behind the front passenger wheel, I have been told it needs to be in rear. It is a Holley Blue pump and is working fine. Any suggestions where in the rear I could relocate the electric fuel pump without having to disassemble the car?
as long as it's lower than the tank - it's not an issue. That said, if you want to move it back - I agonized a long, long time over where to put the pump on my car - ended up attached to the transmission cross member. That really was the closest I could get it to the tank and still be below the tank
i had a holley fuel pump installed by the po and it was way too loud.replaced it with a carter marine pump in the same location in front of the rear bumper and have had no issues.quiet also.good luck.
Ideally, electric fuel pumps should be mounted as close to the fuel tank as possible. They push much better than the suck. That's why you also want it lower than the tank.
That said, if you aren't having any problems with it mounted where it is, I wouldn't bother moving it.

Given the tank is above the rear differential, above the frame, and the bottom being nearly level with the hood; I think finding a place where it isn't lower than the tank would be difficult

barely hear it when the motor is off - keep in mind, I run dynomax inserts (note I did not say mufflers) and side pipes; so I'm not sure I'd hear a Holley black mounted to the back of the driver's seat.
not trying to be a know it all but, an electric fuel pump is made to be as near and below the fuel tank as possible. the are not for use in the engine compartment due to heat and other factors leaks , shorts etc. i agree the holley pump is noisy, but it is easy to tell if its running.
