Default installing a 67 435 intake

I would like to replace the 69 435 intake with a 67 435 intake. I know I need to change the fuel line from the pump to the carbs. Will the carbs, linkage, and throttle cable work? I think I'll need to change the hose from the air filter base to the left rocker cover to the 67 style. My car has a GM L88 hood on it that has been cut out to clear the triangluar filter. Looking through the scoop. it looks like there is plenty of room the clear the taller manifold.

if your throttle cable won't work, maybe the 67 will...

Do you have the 67 intake?

I think 67's use a throttle rod and not a cable. I want to make sure the 67 intake will wotk before spending the big dollars they command.

you are correct...a rod is used...

Instead of spending the big dollars, why not to to a machine shop and have them make you at least one inch high aluminum blocks. That might give you the same affect as the 67 intake. Cost would be negligible compared to the price of the 67 intake...
