Not sure I understand that one...all Chevy rocker arms are the same for intake and exhaust...if I buy a new one, why wouldn't I just put it on the exhaust one?

The exhaust rockers, according to GM, run hotter than the intakes. Swapping an intake rocker over to replace a bad exhaust, then installing the new rocker on the intake is recommended by GM to give the new rocker and ball a chance to break-in without excessive heat. No idea past that.

Okay, got the new rocker arm on the exhaust valve, rotated engine and noticed click noise from the intake valve, pulled off rocker arm on #6 intake and push rod was totally bent...here is what I am figuring...when the exhaust valve rocker arm broke, exhaust valve could not open, created a lot of cylinder pressure and bent the intake valve push rod....? Am I thinking straight?
