Default ZF 6-speed ?

there is a ZF six speed up for sale. Not to bad of a price. I was looking at it, but I think there is a lot work and modifications involved.

Anybody ever do this ? Was a fit possible without modifications to the transtunnel ?

I don't think you'll be able to fit without mods. The T56 is tight and the ZF is an even larger trans.

Check out a Richmond 6 spd.Got one in my 76 and its a great match with the 3.08 rear gear. For optimum performance match the trans to your rear gear ratio. To much or to little first gear and or OD gear and you end up with a not so good swap.

I know. A 3.27 is not an option since I run 4.11's in the back to help low end torque.

Would like to go overdrive but a price tag of 4000 is a bit over it I think and used these are not to be found either I think.
