1976 Rear Compartment Light
Trying to get my rear compartment light working, and starting with a new bulb. I have the little assembly out and it looks like this:

I have two questions. 1. The black wire, which I assume is a ground connection is not attached to the assembly, it popped out with the old bulb. Is this normal? If not, and currently assuming it isn't, how do I get it back in properly? 2. The bulb looks like it just gets pushed in the assembly and held by the plastic with an interference type fit, and gets power from the little seat inside. Is this accurate?
Who knew a little thing could be confusing...but then my inside lock **** had me perplexed for almost a day as well. Thanks guys.
