72 Horn Relay Question
Ran horn diagnostics which suggested horn relay was bad. When I hooked up the new one it gets hot. Why would this happen? Could I have hooked up the green and black wires backwards (old relay looked different than stock, but assembly manual suggests green wire goes to middle terminal).
Green wire is not hooked up in picture, but shows where I had it plugged in. When I unplug the green wire the relay cools off.

Thought I had the problem narrowed down to continuity in the steering column. But low and behold when I put the connector back together the horn started working! Must have had a bad connection there. Many thanks to all the good posts on the forum to help work through this.
