Default Headlight rebuild

Doing a frame off. No going anywhere atm. ( Saving for holiday)

So I bought:

http://willcoxcorvette.com/product_i...ducts_id=20649

Because my time is free . I was going to wire brush everything to clean up all the parts not in that kit.

I know most of it i will never see, but should i buy a can a metal spray paint to paint the 2 big metal light housing parts and anything else that is not a moving part .Would this cause probelms later on? I am a little **** in this restore.

Also to remove the paint on the top of the pop up light ( metal), and the platsic lens housings, can i just use paint stripper.

I cannot find new lens on these vendor sites too. Mine say they are sealed. I know this sounds dumb but how do you replace the bulbs ( My modern car it is easy to do).

I am also converting them to the ford probe mod too.

The headlight sealed beams are the bulbs, they can be purchased from any local parts store. I recommend getting halogen seal beams.

one more question, the main light housing ( the largest piece of metal) .

What type of metal is it? Not the top side but the bottom, unsean inside. ( as i am going to primer then can spray it all a colour, But don't know what type of primer to buy)

Also on the out side that has the car paint on it ; i am going to paint strip it. After that should i put a quick coat of primer down?
As this will not be painted for atleast 6 month to 2 years in the final car colour.
