Default Starting Issue?

So just got my '75 with the '70 LT1 motor back from the paint shop. They had it all winter and had been repeatedly telling me that it was starting and running great, which they were very happy about since it was a small shop and got moved around frequently. They didn't even have to charge the battery at any point this winter, which was nice.

As they were wrapping up the project they sprayed down the engine compartment. Amazingly it doesn't start as well anymore...

First turn (hot or cold) gets me a single click but no crank. Eventually if you keep trying it will click and crank and start up.

I figure it's the original '75 starter and/or solenoid finally giving up the ghost, especially if it got dusty, wet or both...

Any other possible explanations?
