Default Stall converter install

I am considering throwing a 2500 stall on my car. She does NOT like sitting at red lights, and I figure this will help. Plus, it will help at the track! So.. I will be using a friends garage with a lift, every tool imaginable, and an extra set of hands.
Does anyone have a good write up on how to git r dun?

Also, anything else cost effective that I should do at the same time?

Add an external cooler to the trans. How long since the trans has been opened up and resealed or rebuilt? I'd look at changing the front seal at the very minimum, and very possibly the front pump bushing.

Its not all that hard to do and as Tim stated I would replace the seals front and rear at this time. Before installing the new TC fill it with a quart of trans fluid and when sliding it on it must "click" twice to be fully seated. You will have to rotated it some to get it to do this. If it is not fully seated when you bolt up the bell housing the flex plate will bind and not rotate. The result of this error can be a bent flex plate or damaged pump.

Trans was opened up in 2004, but has only seen about 10-15k since then. It had a shift kit put in at the same time, and still shifts nice and crisp, but the seals definitely need redone...she leaks.

If you swap a t/q we always use to also change the pump bushing and seal, also If it is a front seal leak you can not fix that with a seal you must change the bushing for that specific leak
