Paul;
All of us with one Corvette feel your pain for having such a dilemma. The pressure you must feel to make the right decision! :lol:
My 2¢, I think the 75 will do a better job.

Oh, we all feel SO SORRY FOR YOU, not knowing which Vette to select in this painstaking decision making process you are so brutally forced upon. It must be tough to be in your shoes in a situation such as the one you are facing.
... Or could it just be that we're all JEALOUS AS A MUGGA FUGGA CAUSE YOU GOT 4 CORVETTES and we don't.
I'd pick the standard for towing. :yesnod:

In my young and dumb days, I towed my buddies' Datson B-210 behind my '62 Impala from Tulsa through the Grand Canyon, across the desert through Las Vegas, over the Hoover Dam to the Redwood Forest of N. California and into Eugene, Oregon with a bumper hitch and a couple of lights stuck on the trunk. Whatever your decision, I'm sure it will show a more reasoned approach than that. But I wouldn't worry about which one can "take it" , they both can.

Well, the L48 has the torque down low, where you'll probably want it. Neither have a good gear ratio. The manual won't has as much wear when towing it. The 3.07's will help with mileage once you get up to speed though. I'd go with the '80. You can just give me one of them, then you won't have a problem.

C'mon, guys... thought I'd just lighten up everyone's day with a "joke" pic or two. Lot of hate here??? :lol:
Anyways, just to clear things up, I have an '89 F-250 XLT Lariat(to all the GM owners out there, the "F" stands for "Ford", as in "Ford" Tough!!!)I do all my towing with. :yesnod:
Also, that 500-700lbs tongue weight would take a C3 and lay it's differential on the ground. Thought somebody would've caught that!!!
Next pic soon, "Which Vette to use to tow the boat with" :lol: :lol:

OK!...I figured it out for you.............
You make a custom forked tongue for your trailer........put two vettes side by side.(since you have extra's to choose from)..........Then get a friend that can drive side by side with you and maintain the same pace........This way the two vettes split the tongue weight and the trailer capacity. Just in case that you don't have enough power, you use the left over vette as a pusher.
SO, What do you think????
It's gotta be better than a F*RD. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
I don't have your same "problem", (I only have two vettes)....but I use this.
2002 CHEVY 2500HD Duramax Diesel Crew Cab w/Allison 5 speed auto.
8-1/2' x 20' Enclosed Car Trailer
Have a safe trip. :cheers: :cheers: :cheers: :chevy :chevy :chevy
