Default Header Repair

I have a set of ceramic coated headers (Headman) that have developed a leak at no. 2 cylinder head flang. What's the best way of repairing without damaging the coating?

Default I would weld it....

and then cover it with some POR-15 high temp paint. I did that to mine when I installed O2 bungs and they seem to be holding up well.

Your description is pretty vague, you'll have to come a little more specific than that if you want good advice.

The weld, at no. 2 cylinder, between the tube and flange, on the top side, has developed a crack. Needs to be repaired. It's not a large crack as yet. Will be on the winter repair list.

Hmmmm, that's a tough one. I really don't see any way around having it welded and re-coated. Stay tuned, though, maybe somebody has an ace up their sleeve, ya never know, there's some clever folks on this forum.
