Default heads and cam??

looking for some new heads and a retrofit hydraulic roller camshaft for my L82. Hoping to be around 500 or more HP.

looking at the Dart Pro 1's (200cc intake runners) or the Edelbrock E-Tec (with the 200cc intake runners).

Any one used either???

Good luck reaching a n/a 500 horse 350 with any street manners. I don't have experience with either head you've got listed, but afr 195's is what I run on my 400. Consider a 383 or larger for the power your looking for of you could go forced induction with aluminum heads and roller cam and hit 500 hp with good torque and manners. Just my .02$

411RWHP with dart pro1s lunati roller cam, very streetable if you have the the capability of keeping your foot out of it. if you do those computations it comes out at about 480 hp at the flywheel, not quite the 500 you are looking for and that is at 5800 rpm.

With a 350? What size intake runners? What size cam, and what intake? Im assuming 411rwhp is through a manual gear box?

Hydraulic roller cam or solid roller cam?

.040 350 suspect 357 cid. eldebrock air gap rpm, lunati viper solid roller, dart pro1s 2.02 valve, think they are the 200 cfm runners. tremec 5 speed. could be the fidanza flywheel that helps. don't let those guys in the higher numbered forums know but I finally passed a c6 on the track. no it wasn't a Z car but a 08 to a 68. does that gives me some bragging rights?

Don't go over 180cc heads for stock l82....your bottom end will suffer. My 195s were overkill
I used a 230. .050/.0510 cam. And it was pretty lazy below 3500

that happened to me with a 40 over 283 when I put some wamed over humped back 2.02 heads on. until the rrrrs came up that's why I went with the smallest dart heads and a double plenum manifold. after reviewing the dyno sheet and seeing the power drop off I wonder how it would have turned out with bigger heads and one of those new AFR composite manifolds. If anyone reading this and wants to send money I'll gladly try it out for them.

I have S/R torquer heads on there now that have 67cc chambers (i think) and 170cc intake runners. Not to sure what cam i have in there, I put it in 15 years ago.

Also I guess i should have said its a 355ci not a 350ci. not that 5ci make any difference. Last time I had it dyno'd was 10 years ago and it put down 320RWHP on a Mustang dyno.

with a race car top end you could make 500 fly hp NA,but it will need gears and stall like a race car.how fast do you want to go ? low 12s ?the afr 180 with a hydraulic roller cam mite make 450 with a single plane and a 750 cfm carb.seen a sbc 355 with ported 441 and a isky 292 cam make 470 fly hp.
