Default Flasher question

I have a 1978 corvette..one side the right side car signal light works and all of the front etc. the back brake lights and left signal light doesn't..Can the flasher be an issue.. Or does a flasher go bad and only work for one side instead of both..please help..

Not the flasher.
First check the harmonica connector on the steering column, clean all the contacts, then retry.
For ease of troubleshooting, I always change the oem thermal flasher to an electromechanical flasher, less than 10 bucks.
It will operate with only 1 bulb working and not do goofy feedback lighting like the thermal flasher.

Thank you all.Fixed the problem.I went for my workout walking etc.. and I ran into a mechanic shop. I told him what was wrong and he immediately told me how to solve the problem..All I needed was a little bulb grease to clean out the connector and put some on the bulb connector as well to help the flow of the electricity to the bulb. I tried it and it worked like a charm.

That saved me time and some serious money whew. Was running around like a chicken with his head cut off...

And noonie thank you for suggesting too to clean out all,of the contacts. I'm a happy camper for sure...lol.Have great weekend everyone...
