Just put mine back into service this spring. Previous owner removed horn and taped wires. Found out that the drivers side door lock was a little trickie to set so he probably thought it was bad. Installed new high decible horn checked t-top switches, door switches and hood switch. Works like a new one. When set off thou all that happens is the horn blows. No starter lock out on the 80's. So if you see a vette going down the road with the horn beeping its probably been stolen. My wifes 82 does have starter sol. lockout when alarming.

Is there a way to see If the wire has been cut behind the switch like if the alarm wouldn't turn off and the previous owner cut it? Can I see it from inside the engine bay?
