I considered the Pertronix setup a year ago but kept the original setup after all the problems listed here. I never had a problem with points and they don't take long to set. I've also run an Accel dualpoint dist years ago but it didn't have any vacuum advance. It did run strong and had a tach drive gear.

I was also using a Pertronix module, but last year it started acting up, and sometimes it was very hard to start the car. Switched back to points, and have been happy ever since. :D-Pedro
