Default Side exit headers. Difference?

Know a guy that has a set of SBC side exhaust headers that he was gonna sell cheap. No exhaust to go with them but he said they were off a camaro

Are the side exhaust headers all the same or would I have issues bolting them up to my 75 with a 4speed?

Wants $150 for them so If they will work I kinda want to jump on them. No I don't know the brand

A different chassis will need different headers, perimeter frame vs unibody, F vs Y. I doubt they'll fit.

Yup they will likely hit something..... why pay so much guessing on used header when you can get the actual new correct headers for your car shipped to you for under $120.00? They will bolt right up to factory exhaust? Just check ebay or summit....hell summit is selling them on eBay for that much. Ironically things are cheaper if you buy direct from summit vs the summit store on eBay in most cases.

185 bucks, they're new, and you can be pretty sure they'll fit. Also, if you want to run factory style side exhaust, you can use the shorty block-hugger headers, they're pretty cheap.

SBC headers are made to fit a small block Chevy engine, at the exhaust flange, however, once you get 2-3" from the engine, they are then constructed to fit the chassis the engine is installed in. You mention "side exhaust headers"...do you mean the headers that bring the exhaust to the rocker panel of the car?

Hooker Headers made "side mount headers" for a number of cars, Corvettes and Camaros included. However, I highly doubt that a SBC header made to fit a Camaro chassis would fit a Corvette, if this is what you're actually referring to.

For that matter, Hedman and McJacks both make headers that connect to factory Corvette sidepipes, in case that's what you're referring to...
