guys, got pulled over for the dang headlight agian..... On my rh low beam the light goes out. A while back i metered the plug evrything seemed fine. Put in a new bulb and pronlem fixed for a short time. The lamp is out again. Chkd the plug and verified all of the slots to be hot. The tan wire is hot during low beam, far rt slot is hot during high beams. I checkecked the bulb directly off the battery, it cks out. 2 possibilities. One, i plugged the bulb in and ran the lights while it was hanging and it worked, when i handled it it would blink on/off like it has a bad connection.maybe a bad plug? Is there any way to restore the plugs? I cannot find any new omes on line. Plug adapters wont do any good as they plug into this plug? Also, the wres all chk out except i have one black wire coming out of the low beam harness that is spliced onto for length, but does not go anywhere, it has no power from it on hi or low, and does not complete a circuit as a ground..... Biggest question is the plug if you cpuld help i would be much appreciated...... Thx terry
Just any headlight plug will not work on the 69 if you want the fiber optics to work. . You will need a special one available from lectric limited and other vendors.
Hey guys thx, i carefully got the low beam wire out of the plug, cleaned it up, chkd to. Make sure the crimp was tight, and pinched the tabs a bit for a tifghter fit to the loght, so far its working, bit i have seen this before. I think i am gonna order a plug from lectric that you guys recommended. That really sgould do it as the wires and power is all correct, this plug just keeps failing...... Thx again
