I bought my 70 18 months ago and haven't had much time to evaluate its mechanical condition, it runs and drives, but is a little rough. This weekend I replaced the leaky power steering lines, replaced a leaky brake caliper and bled the brakes which made it drive much better, however, when I took it for a test ride I noticed that the rear end feels kind of (loose) when I try to take a turn with much speed. I jacked up the rear end and noticed that the strut rods are both bent. I assume they should be strait, any ideas how they could get bent, and would they being bent effect the way the rear of the car tracks.
Thanks,
Raycedad

Bending the lower strut rods was done by some shops to adjust the rear camber (as opposed to using the eccentric washers as it was designed)
In theory, bending the rod changes the center to center distance slightly rather than moving the pivot point but in reality, if they got the camber right, it shouldn't affect the feel of the car.
