I have a Holley 780 dual feed vacuum secondary carb, number: 3989022 with a list number 4800 and also the number 3828. I believe it to be a replacement carb for the 70 to 72 LT-1 . Thanks for the help.
1971 4800 4 402 A CHEVY CAMARO 330 HP
1971 4801 4 402/454 M CHEVY CAMARO/CHEVELLE/EL CAMINO/NOVA CAMARO (330 HP 402) AND 365 HP 454 (CHEVELLE & EL CAMINO)
The 330 HP corresponds to the LT-1, and may serve as a replacement. The NCRS book has the 1971 LT-1 carb as 3989021, part 4801
The 1972 LT-1 was 3999263 and model 6239A or 6239-1A. the 70 was 3972121 or 3972123. Based on the numbers, it is a 1971 Holley, I would check in the F-body section for a 1971 Camaro owner.
Post it in the F-body forum under 1971 Holley 780 carb. Ebay is a good source for sellers, especially with the prices showing up. Car shows and swap meets are great sources.
Post it on the C3 parts Forum. For most members, the matching # issue is moot, so a good carb is a good carb.
