Default AC Question.

I'm trying to get my ax to work again after a couple of years of non active ( never worked when i got the car) I found a wire that was loose.
But before starting it I will probably need a new charge, now I looked via the sight glass but it is all Yellow ??

Is this normal or is my system dirty on the inside ?

Thanks for any help.

Looks like rust, usually caused by a leak in the low pressure side.
The first thing I would do is have the system leak checked, them work from there. what year is the car.
You may be looking at major repairs.

The cars is from '75 , if I pusch on the refill valve there is just a little bit of pressure still on there but not very high, so the system needs a refill for sure.

But I will try to pull the system vacuum and see how it holds..
