4k miles in 6 weeks
so I just got back last night from a trip I took in my vette, I left June 26th from Mobile Al to Yorktown Va, got 25mpg with the TKO 500 and 3.08 gears, Im thinking of swapping cams again to one with a 112LSA and not a 110 like I put in it for more mpg. the first weekend I drove to Alexandria Va to see my cousin, had a great time and we took it up to Pa to get a 77 firebird he wanted, then every weekend I drove it back and forth to Alexandria Va, then just got home at 3AM CST today (Friday Aug 2nd). so I really racked up the miles this, the l48 only used 1qt of oil for the 4k miles, I think its the valve seals. but it worked great, I only got 23mpg on the way home, drove it harder. and I put a new lower spoiler and radiator seal kit, never got over 175* on the way home. T-tops off the entire drive and no a/c or power steering, really a way to see the USA
