Steering damper range
Im putting together my steering components and was just wondering.... how many steering wheel turns should the damper allow in each direction starting from dead center? Is it an even number each way? In my case it seems like one way is about a quarter turn less than in the other.

Come ooooon nobody? Someone please go out to your garage, get into your PS c3 and turn the wheel from dead center to the max left and right. How many steering wheel turns does it allow you going from the center to the end of each side?

There are also steering stops cast into the steering arms. General Motors designed them so both the steering gear travel and the steering arm stops would "bottom out' at the same time. This way both systems shared the load and were not overstressed by having to take all of the loads at full travel.
