My Corvette is now gone
Just a quick post to let everyone know that I'm now Corvette-less.
The old owner (three parties back) picked up my '70 ... I mean HIS '70...
today.
Nothing really important here to post, except that I'm still trying to recover
my money from this deal.
It's a sad day in '70Shark land....

If the dealer has missed a deadline for a payment that was court ordered then you should be able to have the court enforce that order. Usually by garnishing the dealers bank accounts (company and personal) and credit card merchants account. This shouldn't be a problem to get the court to issue those garnishemnts.

I remember this from the first post about it. This just seems like a total injustice. I know the first owner is probably happy but he shouldn`t get his car back for free from you.

That is horrible...
My next thought...not starting a smear campaign, but at least let us know which dealership to never do business with...
Right after that, is take proof to the court that the dealership has not followed the court order and get some justice done. We're behind you. :smash:

As much as I hated to see it go, I think you will feel better to see it out of your garage. To many bad memories and court battles. Time to hunt for a new one.
By the way, If I ever had to give my car back. I would choose to do it the way you did it. ONE BIG BOX OF BOLTS. I sure hope you dumped all those baggies in a big old bag.

Wow. I can't believe that. It's all just one big pile of sh*#!! :mad:
Just another clear case of the victim getting the shaft because of legalities, loopholes and loads of stupidity!!!
Maybe you can go to McDonald's, cry into a hot cup of coffee and then "accidentally" spill it on yourself. You could sue them and recover your losses and then some because we all know coffee shouldn't be hot! Oh wait, sorry, that scam has already been successfully completed.
The courts are right though. The original owner shares no fault because it is completely understandable to forgot he owed a Corvette a few years ago. I mean who hasn't done that at least 7 times by the time you're 30 years old. I can't tell you how many new cars I've gone out and bought because I just forgot that I already owned a car.

Steve, So sorry to hear the sad news. :( So, I hope you didn't lift a finger at least! What is the guy going to do with the car? Is he going to work on it himself or part it out or ??? :nonod: Or are you just too sick to even think about it? :(
