Well things are pretty much done. I drove to the gas station and back today on open headers. This thing is so punchy now. Lots of power and torque. I left two huge black streaks out in front of my house, must have been 15-20 ft long.
Some of you were asking how my intake was going to work with the hood so I took some pics. Here is the intake without the hood on to give you an idea of how the ducting goes.
And here is how far the hood opens. I picked up a dowel from Home Depot and painted it black to be my hood support. It fits nicely behind the seats when not in use.
Having owned an LS1 car(a '98 T/A) all I can say is you will absolutely love it. Mine ran 13.2 with a cat back and an air lid(fully loaded 6speed) They are great motors, hard on the rest of the drivetrain though, thats why I dont own mine anymore. The rearend was about to go and it kept breaking tranny mounts.
I've got a 2002 Z28 LS1. 300+rwhp will feel real good in that Vette. The power band of the LS1 is a perfect match. What year pcm you going to use? That thing will fly!!! Keep us posted!

Re: LS1 update (nunus79)
That is just one of those things that will be the envy of all of us. I have read about motor mounts and moving the motor back. Too much for me to do on my own. Congradulations on your ride. Must be awesome.
You could have some custom hinges made that pop the hood out kind of like the hood does on a C5. If you leave the hood like that, mark my words, someone, someday is going to lift it up real fast and break the front of the hood off.
It's a shame you went to all that trouble to modify that radiator, that intake that twinnie showed looks like a good solution.
I am pretty happy with the setup I have. I get nice cold air from behind the center grill. And no one is going to open my hood but me, so I am not worried about someone breaking it.

 Wish mine could do that... :cry
I don't know if you'd like this idea, but ever thought about getting a fuel injection badge from like a c1 or c2 and putting it on? That'd be pretty slick :spam
:cool:I read your post on LS1tech.com.Are you planning on modding out the LS1 later?Maybe some nice ported heads and cam?A stroker would be nice in a C3.
