i have no idea what kind of power you are putting out so its hard to say.
we used to put spring clamps on both ends of the spring to help and a good rear shock preferably a 50/50 type and 90/10 fronts and remove the front sway bar. BUT that is strictly for drag racing and under NO circumstances drive it that way on the street, not even just to and from the track. again i have no idea what kind of power you are making AND all of this may be unnecessary . good luck
Im putting out about 350 hp, everything in the rear end is stock. the rear shocks are even weak i do believe, as in they should be replaced. but it does tire hop every once in a while. what are those spring clamps you mentioned? ive never heard of them
i have even used stainless steel hose clamps to clamp the leafs together and make the spring stiffer. at that power level put some stiff shocks on the rear you might try clamping the spring on both ends
Stiff rear spring or add leaves to it....GOOD adjustable rear shocks. QA-1's work great. Make sure it doesn't squat so much that it hits snubbers and lets halfshafts go overcenter. Might need to extend snubbers some.
90/10 front shocks and a set of Moroso or similar front springs will make it launch like crazy with good tires.
Make sure everything in rear is in good shape if it's going to have sticky tires.
I did a little research and I see that QA-1s are a good shock so im looking into that. Do you know if the "single adjustable" shock is worth looking into also?
