Default BB Replacement Radiator

Got the call from the radiator shop today....the core on my BB radiator is full of holes. I'd like to keep the OEM look and thought the Dewitt radiator with the aluminum core might fit the bill. If anyone has used these how is the fit and does losing a few pounds change ride height? I'm assuming the aluminum core is a few pounds lighter than the factory brass/alloy.

Please weight in with any suggestions or options.

They said they could recore it but @ $425.000 I think a replacement would make more sense. Probably a little more cooling cacpacity also.

I am using the DeWitts with dual electric fans. Fit is perfect and my BB runs around 190.

I have a Dewiits radiator, the fit and finish is as good or better than factory and I had them do the Black Ice finish for the oem look. Mine runs nice and cool with a 496 BB, I would highly recommend a Dewiits

Dewitts Direct Fit aluminum...had them paint it black. They cool better than than copper brass. Much better. Enjoy driving your car without staring at the temp gauge.

Another vote for DeWitts.

Put one in my 68 big block, it cooled so well I purchased another for my rubber bumper big block car.

Simply put,they just work.

I'm also going to be installing a Dewitt in my big block shortly. It will just be nice to have the extra piece of mind knowing i don't have to worry about the temp..

ditto. Same and very happy. DeWitt has a radiator sale once a year, not sure when.
