'69 headlight vacuum
Yet another question. I've searched the threads and read what was said, but not found the exact thing that is going on with my car. I have a hissing vacuum leak under the dash. This hiss goes away when I either turn on the lights or open the headlights with the bypass switch and comes back when the lights are closed. Also, the headlights open and close when I shut off the car. This is a recent thing as it worked perfectly before. I did change out the bypass switch thinking that may be it, but that changed nothing. Any ideas?

If you replaced the bypass, then you may have a leaky (split) hose. Take a two or three foot length of vacuum hose (or windshield washer hose) and place one end in your ear and the other under the dash and start listening. When the noise gets loud, you've found the leak.
