The swap itself is very easy, the accessories and pulleys can be a problem. The stock small block motor mounts, transmission and ignition work fine. Add a set of headers and the motor bolts right in. If you use a long water pump the donor engine power steering brakets and alternator mount can be used. The stock rad is marginal but you need electric fans. The mechanical fan will not work with a long pump. If you use the short pump you will have problems finding the proper pulleys and mounting brakets. No wrecking yard here. Special order, big dollar. I went the long water pump route at first then switch later to the short and made my own mounting brakets and pulleys. A very easy swap. Shane just did it, talk to him.
You also need to watch out for cooling. Put in a higher capacity radiator while you have it all out of the car. Get those little foam heat shield pieces that wedge between the firewall and the bell housing. You will be generating much more heat with that big block!
You can get a set of March pulleys and brackets for about $700-$1000 depending on what kind and how many you need. I only have an alternator and power-nothing, so it was easy for me.
