Update.
Leaked down the motor and found one cylinder was holding no pressure, and blowing like crazy out the intake valve. Pulled off the head and brought it to my engine builder.
He found out the engine had eaten something it shouldn't have eaten. Some metal got into the intake passage and chewed #$%^ out of the valve seat.
