Decided to go with a composite spring for the old Shark. Looking at the 340 lb variety from Zip Products, but wondering if the 315 lb is what I really need. I'm concerned about ride height....I have heard that these 340 lb. springs "jack up" the rear a little. Any issues with this anyone??
I cant speak for spring rates However I have the TRW unit that is kinda mild. I love it and cant speak enough about it. You want as close to stock ride height as you can get or lower. Higher makes it seem sloppy on some cars.
I installed a 355 psi composite TRW design spring on my car to replace my worn 9-leaf. http://www.muskegonbrake.com The improvement was fantastic. My car is sitting a little high in the rear but I am ordering 10" bolts from Ecklers ($20) to correct this. UPS has delivered my Composite Spring from Muskegon Brake http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=302218

The TRW 315 is a great sproing for street use. If you're going racing or don't mind bouncing a bit, the 340 is for you.
I recommend Bilstein Sport shocks.
I have Vette Brakes 360lb rear and 550 lb coils.Baught 8" spring bolts and can set the rear hieght pretty much where I want it. Harsh ride on rough roads, but boy can she bogie on the twisties! We are talking zero roll turns, and very little squat on hard launches.
When I feel like I've had enough kidney jolts,I drive the Olds for a day.
I would say I have the baseline TRW spring. Ride quality is incredible and many have said they didnt expect the smoothness. Now I dont autocross but I do drag frequently and the 4-6 inches it squats and loads up makes for nice launches on street tires.
