Default Remove front bumper? Sigh.....

Okay, looked at my assembly manual... removed all the nuts/bolts it has listed excluding the 2 or 3 rivets... do I have to cut the rivets too? Almost seems there is a metal piece that everything mounts to on the front bumper and if I unbolt that metal piece the front bumper would come off? Yes/No?

Was tempted to rip it off since I most likely will have to replace it.

the is a metal re-inforcement that is riveted behind the bolt flange, you do not need to worry about the rivets, there are alot of bolts that hold the nose piece on so make sure you got them all out, unless you PLAN on replacing the nose I wouldn't "just rip it out" you can do some body damage if you try that approach.

yes, it is riveted to the front bumper but just to hold it in place for ease of installation. the bolts do all the REAL holding.
