I know this is an old reply, but I had a problem bleeding my brakes in my 1975. The issue was the back right. All of the others bled just fine. Once I started the car, I was able have someone pump the brakes, and it worked perfect. Not sure why this was required. I know this is an old post but thought I would share this experience.
Here is a unique experience that had me pull apart proportion valve and lines. The bleed hole in my new caliper was drilled and tapped for bleeder but they didnt drill the hole completely into caliper. I guezs it was Friday at 455pm. I removed caliper and finished drilling the 1/8 hole and perfect. I drilled it upside down so metal would fall out not in caliper. Used a magnet next to drill bit as well. Keep in mind part even new may have an issue. They are assembled by people who probably dont know what it is or what it's used for . Not racist remark. Just truth on assembly line.
