Brown wire should go to one side of the idiot light sayng bat or alt or gen on the dash.....it's red.....should light if the key is on and engine still....
indicates no alternator output....if it's not hooked up the alternator will not put out untill engine is revved up quite a bit....3000 rpm's or so...
