I have been searching for a set of rally rims for my 68'. I found a set with what appears to be correctly stamped. However they are painted black on the outside face not silver?
FWIW: I've read that rally wheels were painted black by Kelsy-Hayes and shipped to St. Louis. The argent silver was shot at St. Louis.
Second unconfirmed possibility is that the wheels were left black if the car was going to get P01/P02 wheel covers. I think the jury is still out on this point.

First time I've heard that. Every original P01/P02 car I've seen has had silver wheels.
Generally, black wheels were sold as service spares.
