Wacky tach
The tach on my 79 decided it should start out near the red line on idle. Figured if I got up to a decent speed I would bend the needle so I unplugged it from the distributor. Now it sits at about 7500 rpm and laughs at me. Any advice on how to wipe the smile off the tach's face and get it working again? Thanks.

Yep, you need a new tach board available form most leading vendors, I think they retail about $60 or so, pretty easy swap out, you have to remove tach from dash though, not hard just a bit pesky to do. Swap the board takes 5 minutes once the tach is out.
