No. Used a rubber/plastic hammer or a piece of wood.

The car is quite low and in this Picture the suspension is quite compressed due to a depression in the track.

The lowest part of the system is where the exhaust lay below the X-member for the gearbox.

Since the primary tubes are so long i didnt want to add a to steep "S" bend straight after the collector to make it fit in the holes of the X-member.

Im pulling the Engine and gearbox this Winter and will modify the X-member to get the exhaust a bit higher up.

Before I took it to have exhaust system made up. Car has standard height F41 suspension - tyre are 27" tall, so this is more or less the factory ride height. Hooker 2 1/8" Super Comps.

My advise when using the Hooker Supercomp 2-1/8" on a low car is..

Get rid of the flanges between the colector an the reducer by welding the reducer direct to the collector.

Next thing is to cut out a section of the collector and replace with a 45-degree 3,5" bend to get the exhaust to line up with the holes in the transmission x-member.

This will help a lot with the ground clearense issue.
