Carburator throttle arm
After few years of restorations finally installing the carburetor . i changed my transmittion to 200-4r from Bowtie.
i also bought special bracket named "Rochester 3 power braket" pic number 69 and 67.
my carb is the original Rochester QuadraJet m4 number 7042217.
this carburator has a special throttle arm that originally didnt fit the kick down cable.
I have the original throttle cable in my corvette 1972 as you can see.
My question is what kind of bracket I need to put in the carburator and if should I change the original throttle cable and to which type?
If my question isn’t clear enough i put some photos.
one of the photos is from LOKAR and by the photo you can see
that the throttle arm is DIFERENT
Does some one knows what should i do?
my motor is bb 454 .
appriciate your replys
thanks

The QJ in my picture is a +80 model which has a throttle arm and correct TV cable hookup. So I think you eiter have to swap out the shaft on your current carb if they are compatible, fabricate something yourself to get the correct geometry or have a look at bowtie overdrives TV made easy systems. I think they have a adapter for the std bellcranck
You can't just drill a hole and hook it up. The movement of the TV cable needs to be exact in relation to the movement of the throttle.

Don't mind the text. Everything you see is Lokar, their Edelbrock billit throttle bracket just fits the QJ bolt pattern.
The linkage shown on the Lokar instruction page is a standard Holley one.
