Default Rivets for firewall

On my 69 I Replaced complete windshield frame with windshield pillars from another 69 corvette. The rivets that surround the firewall which attach to the windshield frame were removed for repair access. What type of glue is recommended for reinstalling the firewall to the windshield frame and what size rivets are used. I found in the Zip Products parts catalog that a 3/8 and a 5/8 rivets were available but I am not sure what size is needed.

Appreciate any help!

Under the bonding strips that are riveted to the cage, the sealer needs to be somewhat flexible. I use liquid nails construction adhesive.

The rivets can be of multiple types. They are all 3/16 diameter rivets but some have flat heads, some round and some are pop rivets. The reach is subject to the thickness of the materials. It never hurts to be too long. You can always cut the off with pliers.

You need bonding material to actually bond the fiberglass parts together.
