Default Rear gear

will a 373 gear go into my rear end ? its a1976 with a 308 in their now or do I need a differnt carrirer?

I think for the eaton diff it will take a 3.7 to 1, could be wrong.

I beleive you don't have to repalce carrier until you go to 4.11s. May vary depending on gear manufacturer. I would look at their websites or call.

Yes, 3.73 gears are designed for a 3 series carrier which you have.

I have a friend's 3.70 that is for sell. It has about 7000 miles on a set of Richmond gears. It has just been opened up and all tolerances checked and adjusted. New pinion seal and is ready to run. If interested I can get you in touch with the owner. pm me
