camshaft removal
Guys;
Need to replace my camshaft and was wondering if the rad can stay in car?

If you can remove the cam without removing the radiator, please take a video of it. This will be good !

Some say it can stay and you might be able to do it. I personally took the radiator and shroud out.

Take radiator and shroud off. Pull A/C forward out of the way. Only then will you have the room.

I have changed the cam in my '69 when it had the small block without removing the radiator.

My 77 had to remove the rad, The A/C rad. I was able to swing it up out of the way, and leave the A/C hoses connected.

I've done it with the radiator in, however you really have to play with positioning it and you would want to put some cardboard or masonite on the radiator fins . not to protect the fins as much as to save your hands. it isn't that much more to pull the radiator and most people will find it easier.
