Electric problem on my 1970 corvette
My amp gauge goes from center pointer to minus every time the directionals are used,when i use the brakes ,headlights and when i put on the a/c it moves alot at idle or driving.I installed a 100 amp alternator ,this helped it a little ,the needle moved less .I bought a new battery ,cleaned all the body to chassis grounds,nothing helped,anybody have any ideas on how i can fix this problem?

An AIM will show you where all the grounds are located.

Did you happen to run a new wire from the alternator to the starter solenoid? I'm thinking the gauge is no longer measuring any charging current so it just shows the discharge caused by running electrical loads.
